It has a scanic view point that overlooks neighboring mountain in central java , and is also known as the peak of the golden sunrise. Dieng is located at an average height of 2000 meters above sea level and becomes the town with coldest temperature in central java.  The top of mount prau climbers only need about 3-4 hours of tracking. There are two climbing routes that are through the dieng or patak banteng routes . The via dieng hiking travel tends to be more relaxed and less dangerous than the patak banteng routes, which is quiet steep even though the travel time is shorter.
